Jesus Christ emptied Himself to become fully man that He might be the propitiatory sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born  of a virgin with a human body which He would ultimately sacrifice for  the sins of the whole world.

Through His death, burial and resurrection the whole human race has been redeemed. All who believe in Him and His sacrifice and confess Him as Lord have their sins remitted and are restored to the fellowship lost through man’s transgressions.  They become a New Creation (2 Cor 5:17), born from above by the Word of God (1 Peter 1:23) – they become sons of God with the divine life of God (John 1:12)
